I would date this crosswalk pre- 1989 Deng Xiaoping. It looks like it was built by East Germans.

Siberia

It is kinda lame to make pictures from your seat of an airplane. But I could not resist shooting siberia from the top. The plane's route from NY to Guangzhou China is passing the North Pole, taking advantage of the earth's spin and then descending eastbound to China.

Ari Tabei displays her meticulously interwoven "nests" in the Lower East Side. I am fascinated by her craftsmanship. The painstakingly interwoven materials like paper, fabric, buttons reflecting her struggle.

I got into this show by accident, looking for Tony Oursler. Liao Yibai’s simulates my own Chinese experience, the disconnect of the ubiquitous fake branding and society's material obsession reflected by detailed, hand- welded stainless steel sculptures of oversized luxury accessories.

Polska Day Parade

I was heading uptown for an afternoon at MOMA. But my friend Margret wouldn't show up so I strolled towards Fifth Avenue to see another parade marching. It was Polands turn. I am not sure how many parades are taking place in Manhattan but be sure they are a numerous. More then 200 countries in the world and most are represented in NY, then add Thanksgiving and here and then a World Series Championship. Make the math.
